Masks of Commedia dell’arte

Workshop on ‘Commedia dell’arte’ masks, an Italian tradition dating back to 1500 (Harlequin & co.).
Seven masks, seven characters and seven archetypes.
We will work on the body and movement to understand how to bring the masks to life. Once we have learned the main movements, we will play through some theatrical improvisation.
Knowing the masks allows us to understand the mechanisms underlying our personality and to choose which mask we want to wear and if we want to wear it.
