Due to a fire, an old tower in a village collapses. A beast, which has been kept out of the world there for centuries, manages to break free. In the midst of the crowd, a manhunt ensues to recapture the savage. Everything seems to be out of joint and all attempts to make the connections, to make their own world controllable again, fail.
