Embryo ist ein einzigartiges internationales Musikkollektiv aus München, welches Kraut Rock , Jazz, freie Improvisation, inner- und außereuropäische Rhythmen und Klänge verbindet wie kein Zweites. Embryo existiert seit 1969, übergreift Generationen, Genres und Grenzen. Marja Burchard, Tochter des Gründers Christian Burchard, übernahm 2015 die Band, in welcher sie aufwuchs. Seitdem lebt Embryo mit ihr weiter.

Embryo is a unique international music collective from Munich that blends Krautrock jazz, free improvisation, and European and non-European rhythms and sounds like no other. Embryo has been around since 1969, spanning generations, genres, and borders. Marja Burchard, daughter of founder Christian Burchard, took over the band in 2015, the band she grew up with. Since then, Embryo has lived on through her.
