In Japanese, kashimashi means “noisy, chaotic”, a traditional view of a woman’s dwelling as a source of confusion and disorder. Through the magnifying glass, Natasha Czertok’s “private bestiary” pokes, with some self-irony, at the dynamics we usually define as “normality” and at the stereotypes in which we recognise ourselves or which we reject.
