– Vintage Sounds of Finland.
In 2006, the Finnish singer Laura Ryhänen founded theworld music ensemble Uusikuu (New Moon) with her colleagues at the time. Their ambitious goal: to breathe new life into the traditional Finnish tango! The band calls their style “Vintage Sounds of Finland”. The small orchestra tours Europe, and togetherthey show that the Finns have not only invented the tango, but also mastered the wild humppa; that they love the tender, dreamy waltz just as much as they love elegant swing.
