Das Stück handelt von einem deutschen Jugendlichen, der einen Krieg in Europa mit all seinen grausamen Begleitumständen erlebt und dem dann eine teure und illegale Flucht nach Ägypten gelingt. Die Inszenierung setzt auf radikale Reduktion. Der Schauspieler, Text und Monobloc stehen im Zentrum. Durch Kargheit erhält der Text absolute Konzentration – die reduzierte Spielweise verstärkt den Inhalt.
The play is about a German teenager who experiences a war in Europe with all its cruel consequences and who then manages an expensive and illegal escape to Egypt. The staging relies on radical reduction. The actor, his text, and the Monobloc chair are at the center. This sparseness gives the text absolute focus, while the minimalistic acting style intensifies the content.
