Embryo ist ein einzigartiges internationales Musikkollektiv aus München, welches Kraut Rock Jazz, freie Improvisation, inner- und außereuropäische Rhythmen und Klänge verbindet wie kein Zweites. Embryo existiert seit 1969, übergreift Generationen, Genres und Grenzen. Marja Burchard, Tochter des Gründers Christian Burchard, übernahm 2015 die Band, in welcher sie aufwuchs. Seitdem lebt Embryo mit ihr weiter.

Embryo is a unique international music collective from Munich that combines Kraut Rock Jazz, free improvisation, inner and non-European rhythms and sounds like no other. Embryo has existed since 1969, spanning generations, genres and borders. In 2015, Marja Burchard, daughter of founder Christian Burchard, took over the band in which she grew up. Embryo has lived on with her ever since.
