Kojo wächst auf einer Müllhalde in Accra auf. Er lebt davon, aus europäischen Elektroschrott noch verwertbare Metalle zu gewinnen. Doch er träumt, ein Borga zu werden, einer, der es nach Deutschland schafft und dort so reich wird, dass er die ganze Familie zu Hause ernähren kann. Als sich ihm die Chance eröffnet, Ghana zu verlassen, realisiert er schon bald, dass das schnelle Geld auch im Ausland eine Illusion ist.

Kojo grows up on a rubbish dump in Accra. He makes a living by extracting usable metals from European electronic waste. But he dreams of becoming a Borga, someone who makes it to Germany and becomes so rich there that he can feed the whole family back home. When the opportunity arises for him to leave Ghana, he soon realises that making a quick buck abroad is an illusion.
