Centralstation

Centralstation. DE 2022. Hala Belladonna, Kathrin Göpfert. No dialogue. Experimental, 7′

The alien Hala Belladonna of Atropia is accompanied on one of her journeys. A nomadic, anarchist soul who moves through space and time. The central theme of their excursions to planet earth in the episode CENTRALSTATION is again the exploration of the human dichotomy between adapting to an existing world and setting off into the new unknown. In doing so, it follows the law of conservation of energy – in constant transformation of matter.

From the Bad Nauheim train station, Hala enters other dimensions through the CENTRALSTATION portal. As a dispatcher, she can control the course of dreams from the signal box. She lets a voodoo doll sing with 1000 lucky and peace-bringing origami cranes by Sadako Sasaki. Meanwhile, the black-clad cowboy turns into a rose, but Hala’s animistic heart keeps beating like a steam engine…
